There’s something for everyone at the Garden of the Gods Park. And with no entry fee, it’s the best deal in town.

No matter what route or method of accent you take, a trip up America's Mountain is enjoyable for people of all ages.

Driving is one of our favorite methods because you can go at your own pace, in your own car on your own schedule.

The Cog Railway runs year round, and is always fun for train buffs and those who are uncomfortable driving.

Hiking and mountain biking tours are a blast for older kids and active families.

It's always a good idea to dress or take lots of layers, no matter how warm it is at the base.

I also also bring water, caffeine and OTC migraine medication in case of altitude sickness.  Be ready to take these and descend slowly if anyone feels lightheaded, nauseated, or a strong headache - these are early signs of altitude sickness.  It can happen to anyone of any age or fitness level.  It is not dangerous on a day trip up the Peak, but can be extremely uncomfortable.
